Air Leaks
Automates the detection of leaks in pressurized air and gas systems using ultrasonic vibration sensors, reducing energy waste and maintenance costs for industrial facilities.
Overview
Leaks in pressurized air and gas systems cause substantial energy waste, environmental pollution, and operating expenses. Traditional leak detection is labor-intensive and sensitive to ambient noise. This project automates the detection process with a network of ultrasonic vibration sensors, targeting the majority of industrial facilities that rely on compressed air systems.
Goals
- Benchmark sensors against leading commercial models
- Build a sensor network with a control and monitoring GUI
- Quantify and reduce energy waste in industrial facilities
